Been playing CM and FM since 2003 and I’ve realised that I’ve become a specialist in a particular position.
My strikers are either prolific or donkeys, my wide men frustratingly inconsistent, the centre mids rating a solid but unspectacular 6.8, centre backs who are either prime Beckenbauer or Sunday league thugs, and my goalkeepers are unbeatable for long periods then concede 5 against a team in the bottom 3.
But year after year, I always seem to find fullbacks who’ll rate around 8 on average over the season, grab a load of assists and more often than not win player of the year.
My weakness is definitely central midfielders. No matter what the stats, tactics, pairings etc. I’ve only ever had a handful of players who produce the goods year on year. I’d love to develop my own Gerrards and Iniestas. After all, who wants to be Gary Neville?
