50% Sell-on clause, does it work as I think it does?

So.. picture this scenario:

I sold a player for £5M with a 50% Sell-on clause, if I buy him back for £10M.. will he only cost me £5M, since my club should recieve 50% of the transfer?

This topic has been raised before and I don't think anybody came up with a concrete answer. In theory it should work.

Yeah I had a thread about this regarding if I was to buy Fabregas as Arsenal. Unfortunately I never got round to trying it out, but what will probably happen is it will take £10m out of your transfer budget, but the club balance will only go back down by £5m

I remember reading about someone who tried this on their save and it worked. I'm looking for the source...

It should work but what will happen is £5m goes out of the bank and then £10m gets taken out of your transfer budget minus however much your percentage of transfer revenue allows to be put back in.
