MATCH PREVIEW
The Manchester derby may have disappointed but it is hard to imagine a bore draw in the 147th league meeting of these north London rivals. The last six encounters in league and cup have produced a total of 25 goals, including a memorable 4-4 draw at the Emirates two years ago.

We're a lot closer to them than we have been for a long time, and against the best we seem to raise our game
Tottenham striker Peter Crouch
Arsenal know a win will take them top of the table for the first time since March, increasing the pressure on Chelsea when they kick-off against Birmingham. Tottenham have not won on Gunners soil since 1993 but they did end a decade-long wait for a league win against Arsene Wenger's men when the sides met in April.
Both sides looks defensively vulnerable. Arsenal remain without Thomas Vermaelen, while injuries to Ledley King and Michael Dawson have robbed Spurs of their first-choice centre-backs. Their continued absence has meant William Gallas has played a key role - he was released by Arsenal this summer after the club claimed his contract demands were "extravagant", but his experience could prove invaluable for the visitors.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp appears to have decided attack is the best form of defence judging by his line-up against Blackburn last weekend, when two orthodox strikers (Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko) were supported by an attack-minded midfield of Rafael van der Vaart, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Jermaine Jenas.
While Redknapp will be wary of Arsenal's counter-attacking threat, he could be emboldened by Newcastle's victory at the Emirates a fortnight ago, when the Magpies surprised many by starting with two up front.

What do you think the score will be?

I dont often predict but i'm going out on a limb

2-2

Arsenal win for me. Although I would say that, I honestly think our poor/lucky form will take a turn for the better on Saturday.

Nasri has been excellent all season, and it will be an interesting battle between him and Bale, who could end up like Gibbs if Palacios/Jenas doesn't do his job and help him out. VDV is a great player, and can obviously cause us problems as the AMC often does for Arsenal (Cahill etc.)

3-1 Arsenal.

Cesc, Nasri and RVP with the goals for Arsenal and Pavlyuchenko for Tottenham Shitspurs

That was poor.

Anyway, 2-1 Spurs win for me.

Can't see us really winning tbh.

Bale, Lennon, Modric and VDV all need to be right on top of there game, and if they are then we will have a very good chance.

Would take a draw.

;)

How do you think Tottenham will line up CJ?

Gomes
Hutton Kaboul Gallas BAE
Jenas Modric
Lennon VDV Bale
Pav/Defoe (if fit)

Praying for a Gallas winner in injury time.

I haven't watched much Spurs, but he was awful against Bolton.

He was sloppy at the beggining of season, as he had had no pre-season and was very unfit, but now his fitness is coming back, he looks much better. Probably didnt help that his centre back partner kept changing.

Im hoping for a Spurs win obviously but i think Arsenal will win 2-0.

really looking forward to this.

always the most nervous game. just don't want to lose, but i think we can come out on top!

let's go top!

3-1 Arsenal: Nasri, Chamakh, Arshavin

Backing Tottenham as I dont want Arsenal catching up to Chelsea
Tottenham 2 Arsenal 1

2-1 Arsenal win hopefully, will be incredibly close.
