January 2017 - Mid Season Update

This is just a small update on any transfer news, injuries, internationals or any other interesting news.

- Liam Turner signed for Arsenal on 10th July 2016. Sources tell us that Liam Turner has a hatred of Matthew Wade. It will be interesting to see if he can focus solely on his football in the future.

-Toomas Tomski joined Eibar on loan from Real Madrid on the 31st of August 2016.

- Odin Wodenssen has been attracting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd but no offer was made before the transfer deadline. He has been been ignoring the transfer news of late, and continuing to focus on Jong Ajax in the Jupiler League until a official bid is made.

- Aaron Hendriks has attracted the interest from Tottenham of late but no bid was materialized before the window shut.

- Med Max has been listed for loan and is welcoming the chance at First team experience.

Internationals/Injuries
:

- Every player but Goal Keeper has made either a u19's or u21's appearance.

- No major injuries.

Full update coming soon with End Of Season screenshots

User: Telstar
Name: Toomas Tomski
Nationality: Russian (Estonia, Spain)
Position: ST / AMC
Club: Real Madrid (Eibar Loan)
Bio: Tomski was sent on loan to Eibar in the Spanish first divison for the season and had a good year. He helped Eibar to a 11th place finish in the league, 3 above their predicted position. Eibar fans took notice of Tomski hard work and has become a favored figure at the club, winning the supporters player of the year and being named in the team's seasonal best 11. A move to Eibar could be back on the cards, with a number of Spanish clubs interested in another loan deal from the Real Madrid prospect.

User: Billy Bryant
Name: Goal Keeper
Nationality: England
Position: GK
Club: Aston Villa
Bio: Goal Keeper had a quiet season at Aston Villa and it was noted by the England youth teams as he was still unable to break into the setup. He was 2nd string to Pierluigi Gollini all season and only made a handful of appearances. Though he did start in the first leg of the Play-Off Semi Finals but was given a rating of 5.5 in a 3-1 defeat. Villa went on to lose the tie 6-2, losing 3-1 again in the 2nd leg.

Name: Oisín Tiernan
Nationality: Ireland
Position: ST
Club: Westerlo
Bio: Oisín Tiernan was a key-player for Westerlo as they survived relegation easily, finishing 20 points above the relegation zone. Tiernan also earned his first Ireland call up in a World Cup Qualifying match against Wales, which finished 2-2. Tiernan was subbed in the 66th minute though, failing to make any impact with a 6.5 rating. Tiernan was selected for the best 11 of the season which helped him become the clubs record sale for a total of 1.6m to Manchester City. Though Tiernan should not be expecting many first team starts with City's stacked roster.

Name: Med Max
Nationality: France
Position: ST / AML / AMC
Club: Paris Saint-Germain
Bio: Med Max made a handful of appearances for PSG, featuring more regularly for the B team. Though from the 10 appearances he did make for the first team, 7 of them came in the Coupe de la Ligue, which PSG won and Med Max collected a medal - though he did not appear from the bench. No loan offers came in for Med Max and he has since been made unavailable for loan. He also managed to grab a few goals in the French Youth Invitational, which he also won - scoring in the final of a 3-0 win against Greece u20's.

Bio: OWN hit double figures in appearances for Blackburn in his first season, though it won't be a happy memory as Blackburn where relegated. OWN was also selected in the Blackburn's season 11 as a substitute. OWN may feature more regularly this season, as main striker Danny Graham was sold.

Nationality: Iceland
Position: LB / LWB
Club: Ajax
Bio: Oden Wodenssen had a good year of competitive football, managing to rack up 10 first team appearances but also being competitive with Jong Ajax in the Jupiler league with 33 appearances. Last month, Odin was called up to the Iceland setup and featured against Turkey in a 3-1 win in their World Cup Qualifying match. He achieved a rating of 7.3 and grabbed a assist in 90 minutes. This performance may have put him in the shop window as rumors of a move to Man Utd or Juventus circle.

Bio: Aaron Hendriks had an outstanding year with KRC Genk and was a regular face in the first team dressing room. He helped Genk to a 7th place finish and recieved a host of awards as a result. For KRC Genk he recieved the supporters player of the year and a spot in the season's 11. He also managed to grab a spot in the League's season 11 and also picked up Pro of the year. That was just his club form, on the internation stage - he was named in the Dream Team at the European u21's Tournament and also picked up Player of the Tournament. With all these awards, there's no wonder he's attracting interest from West Ham and Leverkusen.

Great:)
Odd-***** Notthatbright has also mad it into the U21 squad for Spain :)

International recognition and first team appearances is good for young Wodensson. Hopefully he will stay at Ajax for at least one more season to develop further and consolidate his position in the Iceland team. We don't want his head turned by too much too soon. If a transfer is in the offing hopefully it will be to Juventus rather than Man Utd I don't fancy his chances as an attacking LB/LWB against Shaw at this point in time. Good thing with being at Ajax is even with the reserves Wodensson is getting league competition football which can only help.

It's stupid how much I keep checking back hoping for an update haha. Enjoying it very much so far.

Don't know whats going on with the format, it keeps spacing everything out even after I fix it. Will adjust the next update to a cleaner format. XD

Odin looks to be taking the Dutch league by the scruff of the neck can't complain at a league winner medal at a young age and two best player awards (was a little confused by the golden boot as I thought it was for the top goal scorer (Wodenssen does not score)until I looked up the Dutch award). Hopefully one more season in the Netherlands then time to move to one of the big boys (not that AJax aren't a big team of course they just aren't in a big league).
