The Celtic board have confirmed that as of 7th July Sam Wilson will become the new manager, Wilson is said to be very happy with getting the job, Wilson said "Celtic are a great club with a great bright future and i can't wait to get started".
Celtic have confirmed Joe Cole as their first summer signing, Joe Cole joins Celtic on a free transfer.
Wilson said "This is a great signing for us and a show of our intent to succeed."
Also Paul Scharner has joined Celtic on a free transfer.
Paul Caddis(Q.P.R.), Mark Wilson(Wigan), Milan Misun(Ipswich), Pat McCourt(Middlesbrough), Mark Brown(West Brom) and Giorgos Samaras(Blackburn) have all left the club for a combined fee of £7.25M
Nicolas Burdisso will sign for Celtic on a free transfer on 1.9.2009.
Luca Toni has also signed on a free transfer as manager Sam Wilson continues the huge change at Celtic.
Juan Roman Riquelme signs on a free transfer.

Andreas Hinkel joins Stuttgart for £2.6M and Aiden McGeady signs for Chelsea for £10.5M.
