Dover Athletic Football Club is an association football team based in the town of Dover, Kent, England. The club was formed in 1983 after the dissolution of the town's previous club, Dover, whose place in the Southern League was taken by the new club. In the 1989–90 season, Dover Athletic won the Southern League championship, but failed to gain promotion to the Football Conference as the club's ground did not meet the required standard. Three seasons later the team won this title again and this time gained promotion to the Conference, where they spent nine seasons before being relegated. In April 2008 the club won the championship of Division One South and with it promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division. The following season Dover won the championship of this division and gained promotion to Conference South.

NEWS
Manager Andy Hessenthaler has been sacked due to undisclosed reasons. With the managerial job open, amateur managers are racing to fill the position. After much consideration, club chairman Jim Parmenter has chosen the young Hans Adams as the new manager for the 2009/2010 season in the Blue Square South. The board believe in Hans Adams and expect him to go for the promotion to the Blue Square Premier. Hans Adams is eager to be managing his first club and will do his best for promotion this year.

Fans are delighted by the new signing of 23 year-old striker Spencer Wier-Daley. Hans Adams landed a free transfer for the striker and is eager to play him in the squad. Hans Adams will be like to be bringing in more young faces to Dover. He responded to a question by The Non-League Paper with, “I will certainly be looking to bring a few more new faces in.”

Fans of both teams are surprised by the result. GH Academy should have comfortably won this match against Dover but still they end up losing. Dover fans are starting to have confidence in Adams’ ways and are expecting more new signings from the manager.

Fans are not surprised by the lost if Dover but a 3 goal deficit was quite embarrassing for Dover. The board want Adams’ to pick up from this lost and fight back greater than ever. What will Adams’ do to achieve this?
