Ahh well. He isn't exactly ending his career on a high note, is he? Jonny Evans will play more games than him this season, I assure you all. |)
evans is a very good defender is own right, can easliy hold his own playing alongside vidic. in his first big breakthrough season he played 30 games (playing a big part in helping van der sar go all those hours without conceding) he isnt as good on the ball as tery, but he's pretty decent on it. some think it lacks pace, but then rio isnt as quick as he used to, and evans is no slouch.Wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Evans isn't short of potential, and I think he'd come good when asked. Wasn't he chosen over Pique in the past?
Vidic has pledged himself to United, so we may well see a Vidic & Evans partnership as you said. Guess time will tell how effective it is.
Wes Brown can surely slot in at centre back aswell..
this, ferdinand only played 19 games last season, even ledley king played more games than rio last season, and we still had the best defensive record in the league. you never want to be without a player like rio, but we'll be fine without himUnited have got enough depth to cope with this. Besides, they were without him for most of last season and coped pretty well. Evans should slot straight in and O'Shea should act as a decent backup.
ive long forgotten what his original position is, i think hes a left back. jack off all trades, master of noneO'Shea is pretty good.
That is, pretty good at failing in an exceptionally large number of positions.
He seems to be able to play everywhere, and yet do poorly wherever he is placed.
O'Shea is pretty good.

Played in goal against spurs and kept a cleansheet. (K)O'Shea is pretty good.
