right lads, ive checked the editor and everything looks fine, everything works, im not sure why it wouldnt be working after youz download. so my suggestion would be to open your editor and look up the downloaded file. then test nations rules, and go through the cup and competitions to see how many teams there are in each, i may have changed it by not knowing.
but in the game that i have started the game again and no problems!!!
