Here's the low down...
Started an FM with Basingstoke in the English Vanarama Conference South. Clinched the last playoff place, and somewhat convincingly won the playoffs, getting promoted to the Conference Premier. I had a fairly decent season considering I was touted for relegation, but I am a pessimist, and was disappointed with a mid table finish.
Third season started awfully, resulting in a drastic change in tactic, to a 3-5-2 and at times 3-6-1. I finished 3rd overall, way above expectations.
Playoff Semi final first leg away to Mansfield: 0-0 but dominated.
second leg at home to mansfield: 0-0 but dominated. Went to extra time, and was getting nervous. However a 120th minute goal from my top goalscorer saved me from blushes (inevitably would've lost in penalties).
Final at home to Cheltenham. Was pretty much dominated throughout and I still cant gather why, my goalkeeper (Stuart Moore) had his best ever game, ever. 0-0 ft. Extra time, began very similar to the first half. Then this happened.
