Has anyone else found loaning out youth players almost pointless? They either get injured loads or played out of position/not played at all, and even when they do play they barely play well and hardly develop? In my Arsenal save I have got so much further with tutoring and specialised training. It's annoying because now I just hesitate to loan anyone out meaning my players get unhappy.

Depends who you loan them too, check out the training facilities when making a decision.

Done that-Standard Liege were my feeder club, Excellent training facilities and superb youth facilities...Jonathan Silva went there as a Key player and hardly developed.

I've had problems with it as well even if they go as a key player they don't get played. Frustrating because you don't want them sittin in your reserves until they're ready for the senior squad. They seem to get unhappy very easy as well.

I keep my youngsters who I think can will be first teamers in a few years with the first team squad, avaliable for u18 & u21s for a year, whilst there getting tuttored then depending on their progress I will either repeat the above or send out to a top club who will be playing in europe... examples, Beradhi with me for 1 season now on loan at FC Porto and has over 20 goals, will come back and be a great rotational option... Pugliese, 2nd season on loan at Juventus- average rating 7.2 will come back and i will probs sell lucas and and use him as back up to Wanyama
