long shots

is there a way to get your team to stop hitting pointless 30 yard shots

my team are wasting time on pointless shots that are going nowhere near the net when id rather they were patient and went for a pass

any suggestions?

haha, some players just don't listen though, tom huddlestone is one - i really hate him sometimes. you set his long shots to rarely, and he still shoots from distance, you tell him to unlearn his preferred move shoots from distance, and he refuses
