On 12/3/2016, Manchester United were top of the league by 18 points with only 10 games left to play.
They almost lost it.
Uniteds form hit rock bottom at the important end of the season and only ammassed 10 points from their next 9 games, losing to 17th placed Fulham at home in their penultimate match.
While Liverpool were second in the league with 51 points. They managed to accumulate 25 points from their next 9 games with their easier run in meaning they were a meagre 3 points behind the champions.
The final game of the season for Manchester United? Liverpool away.
United somehow managed to pick themselves up from their poor run of form to beat their arch rivals, closest competetors and the team with the best form to win the league.
Unbelievable.
