Burnley 8-0 FC Red Bull Salzburg
Having won the first game 11-0, I was pretty confident heading into this game. We coasted through their defence at will and it should have been more than 8. For the 2nd time this season, my player scored 5 in one game.

BPL Matchday 16
View attachment 292927
West Ham 3-1 Burnley
It was one of those games. West Ham were in top-form heading into the game and they were at home. We dominated the first 20 minutes of the game and scored only for them to reply almost immediately thanks to some poor defending from Pinga. I took him off after the 2nd goal, which was also his fault.

Capital One cup Quarter Final

Burnley 6-2 Everton
I was keen for us to appease the fans for last game's awful performance and we more than appeased them even though we should have kept a clean-sheet.

Nottm Forest 2-4 Burnley
It was a close shave for us as we found ourselves 2-1 down at HT. Danny Ings helped change the game by providing 2 assists and the 4th goal to secure the 3 points.

QPR 2-4 Burnley
Bilbao was the savior of the day. I was scared when they equalized cos I thought it would end up like our previous game when we had to come from behind. But it was confident performance from the boys for the 3 points. Vlaar had an awful game and I might be moving him on come January

Overall, we had a good month bar the defeat away to West Ham. I'm looking to replace Vlaar this transfer window as he's been awful lately.

January 2018 Fixtures
Liverpool (A) BPL
Cardiff (H) FA cup 3rd round
Tottenham (A) BPL
West Brom (H) BPL
Cardiff (H) BPL
Liverpool (A) Capital One cup semi 1st leg
Liverpool (H) Capital One cup semi 2nd leg
In a month when I'll get to play Liverpool 3 times, i'll need my best players fit at all times and avoid any injuries. It should be a routine victory for us in the other games bar Tottenham even though I've not lost to them in the previous 7 games between us.
Transfers
There will be no major signings except if I sell Kagawa and Vlaar. I also need a player in the Rooney mould, an experienced F9 to help Robert so I don't wear him out and Lavezzi is also injured.
The month started with our relocation to the new stadium.

We had a good month despite losing against West Ham. We had already secured passage into the champions' league knockout rounds and were still top of the league table.

BPL Week 13
View attachment 292894
Burnley 7-0 Charlton
What a way to open a new stadium!!! We weren't in top form heading into this game but we woke up and rattled them with Patrick Roberts bagging a hat-trick.

Our performance this week earned my team 6 places in the team of the week

BPL Week 14

Norwich 0-3 Burnley
We kept them at bay whilst also bagging 3. Vallejo and Balanta didn't allow any shot on target.

BPL Week 15
View attachment 292885
Burnley 4-0 Hull
I wasn't that optimistic heading into this game because Hull were over-achieving, being placed 5th in the table before the game. But we remained calm and did our job well. I've been impressed with Patrick Roberts over the past few weeks as he's been in good form.
