Network game problem!!!!!

When playing a network game with ma mate the game keeps sending me on holiday midway thru every match that am playing, it also just continues on me afta like 20seconds even though the force continue is on 1minute, ive tried deleting da settings folder but still not worked. Any advice is welcome.
