Older regens..?

Sorry if there is a thread but can't find one.

I've been getting 25+ y/o regens/newgens on my game in the second season, not sure if it's a new edition or not. I'm not complaining, just wondering if other people have been getting these as well? Maybe it's something to do with adding new leagues mid-game? Most of them are pretty good XD

I'm Wigan, and I'm in 2012/13. Added The Italian, Spanish and Portuguese leagues 1 and 2.
