Today the English and Scottish football associations agreed a compensation package for clubs that would be effected by the top two Scottish clubs joining the English Championship. Clubs effected would recieve a sum of money deemed reasonable but this fee won't be made public at any time in forseeable future.

Celtic and Rangers are the teams moving across the border south, this has angered Scottish football fans who have been quoted as being 'furious'.

In other news Celtic have decided after the division swap was made a new manager would need to take over the club too take them forward in Europe and this forecoming season in the Championship, the name Ben Graham has been on everyone's lips all day after he was given the top job.

*** This wasn't a database created by me, rbg created it. Very good work. Update shortly.

I was thinking of doing something like this, best of look

Journey south begins in style
Celtic's pre season went well and there preparation for the season looks very professional. The European season also kicked off this week with Celtic hosting Dutch side Twente in a tough looking match up.

Celtic 5-0 Peterhead
Celtic 6-1 Albion Rovers
Celtic 4-0 Dundee
Celtic 9-0 Dunfermile (Keane x5)
Celtic 3-1 Falkirk
Celtic 0-0 Rochdale (one blip in a great pre season)

Celtic's european adventure started with a great looking 5-1 win over Twente with Robbie Keane getting on the scoresheet 3 times, Celtic's passage to the Champions league is safe aslong as nothing weird occurs.

* Robbie Keane has been exceptional so far. 12 in 4 games during friendlies and 3 in 1 for Champions League with 4 man of the match awards.

Thought this was a Middlesbrough story before I saw the celtic bit.

Good luck!

Celtic progess despite defeat
Celtic fans were on edge earlier today as their team lost 3-0 to Twente during their Champions League encounter which resulted in a 5-4 aggregate victory.

Before the game Celtic fans were in little doubt there team would qualify as they held a 5-1 lead but as the night unfolded it got rather tense and the celebrations afterwards were spectacular.

Celtic now face a tough task of best placed play off tie against European giants Sporting Lisbon, the first leg will be played at Celtic Park on Wednesday 19th August and has many fan's around Britain excited as Celtic begin there English Championship adventure soon.

Yeah did few deals early mate.

Shaun Maloney leaves the club for Lazio in £3.8million deal, Maloney turned down AC Milan and Athletico Madrid who bidded. (MADNESS)

Coming in; Nelson Valdez on loan and Meghni from Lazio on loan.

Not planning on spending much whilst in Championship :)

Celtic have started the domestic season well with a victory (3-0) over Doncaster with Robbie Keane getting all 3 assists and claiming man of the match award. Second game was a lose against Preston (2-1) which Graham was less than happy with.

CELTIC 2-0 SPORTING LISBON

Celtic tonight dominated against a team they were fully expected to lose against, Scott Brown and Shaun Maloney grabbed the crucial goals. Many fan's after the game were happy but not 100% they could hold onto their lead away to such a free flowing attacking team.

Graham spoke after the match :

The game went as well as i could possibly have hoped, we completely and utterly destoyed their spirit in the first 20 minutes by pressing them hard and counter attacking whenever possible and scored a goal in each half which gives us a good lead to take over to
Portugal.

good story so far:p but i thought you sold maloney:O? but he still manages to score against sporting lisbon:p? keep it up:)

I'll have a browse at the cliftonville story tomorrow as i'm pretty tired at moment hopefully will inspire me to move onto better things as Celtic manager :)

I did sell Maloney, then all of a sudden he hadn't moved and i can't remember a point where the deal got cancelled, it looks like its worked out for the best anyway ;)

I'll have browse at your Cliftonville story in morning mate, quite tired now will be a decent update on this tomorrow.

As shown yes Maloney scored, i thought i'd sold him then realised on match day he was still in me squad, so played him and worked wonders. I still don't know how the deal fell through i didnt notice mail stating this was the case.

Champions league fever hits Celts.

Celtic were tonight in magnificant form as they outclassed Portguese side Sporting Lisbon during a 1-1 draw away in Portugal. Despite the score draw Celtic didn't look like losing and having a two goal cushion beforehand played into Celtic's hands having Lisbon press them early on and they struck on the counter attack making it 1-0 early on. Lisbon scored later in the tie but the end result was a fair one.

Celtic progress to group stages of Champions League;

Group C;

CSKA Moscow
Unirea Urziceni
Celtic
Sevilla

After the draw was made Graham was said to have been pleased and can see his team picking up points but wasn't 100% they would progress further due to Moscow being a very good team and Sevilla obviously being strong. Graham pointed out Celtic's home form would be crucial to their outcome from this group.

15th September update
Celtic have been going all guns blazing as of late racking up a fair few wins which means they sit 8th with one game in hand due to European ties clashing with Championship match's. Robbie Keane has been a star player so far for Graham after 6 league game's he's yet to score but has a record of 5 games played and 5 assists which is pleasing for any manager but adding to that are the 5 goals in 3 European ties so far. Samaras has also been on blistering form scoring 5 goals in 6 games mainly featuring off the bench.

League form

Currently sitting 8th Celtic fans have a lot to be pleased about but i am hoping to improve apon this now my new found tactic of 3-5-2 is working wonders including a recent 4-0 victory over Bristol City. Although form is improving by the game there is much room for improvement but the Scottish big two's move to the Championship hasn't been a easy one with Rangers sitting 10th which just shows how hard the teams are struggling to adjust.

Champions league form

Opening round of this competition at home against Unirea couldn't have gone any better with a 5-1 demolition job with Keane and Samaras gaining two goals apiece. Moscow lost to Sevilla 1-0 so Celtic currently sit top of there group with a healthy goal differance after one game.

Hope's and expectations

I am very very tempted to dip into transfer window and buy a player with specialised skills. Roy Keane type model of player who will break everything up and play the short pass's that in the long run help grind teams down.

Other hope i had was to attract Henrik Larsson to the club but he wasn't tempted by a offer as player or assistant/coach. Maybe one for the future.

Last but not least on the hope's side of things i am contemplating offering Danish rising star Christian Eriksen a opportunity to join the club whether loan or purchase is something i will decide closer to January.

Expecting a very tough time in Champions League but hope's of promotion are very high as my form in this competition is improving and results are far more consistant.

Nice story! It will be interesting to see how the AI managed Rangers do in the league... not so good so far it seems! Good luck boss I'll be following

Cheers for the comment, yeah it seems Rangers aint the certainty for promotion i expected and neither is my squad to be honest i'd be over the moon with promotion at the moment BUT ... as Champions league continues the games in hand i have will increase so i will know how many points i need.
