Sheffield Wednesday HELP!

I've decided to start a new save with Sheffield Wednesday. I'm expected to finish in a "safe mid-table" which admittedly is going to be very difficult. I'm quite unfamiliar with the championship on the game and was wondering for some help with who to sign, tactics ect. For anyone wondering, I have 250k transfer budget and 10.56k wages.

Keep it simple. In my experience a rigid 4-4-2 with counter away from home and standard at home works a treat with a lot of teams at championship level. This could be especially good with Wednesday as I believe they are a hard working team but not particularly good technically.

Of course this is only a base and you need to tweak tactics between each game to really be successful.
