I thought your testing covered all positions equally good, but I saw from a screenshot from CodeX that you don't use any fit Shadow Strikers (bad defensive stats), and you don't use any natural DM. This is very unfair to testing off-the-book formations like mine :p

In addition, do they players have equally good hidden stats? Like consitency for example. Have these been fixed so they are all the same? If not, some tactics will show better consitency due to a different choice of players.

Not seen anyone else complaining mate :S when there tactic has been tested

So, you think that a tactic using 3 DM's and 2 shadow strikers will get a fair test with a test team that has 0 shadow strikers and 0 natural DM's?

But please don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about this test project. And I think that this is perhaps the best way to test tactics that use the same lineup/similar formation/roles. Flat stats and covering all positions equally is definitely the way to go if you want a fair test for absolutely any formation.

The only reason I wrote that was because I personally asked Will to test Counter-Ninjas, but I wasn't aware of that his test team didn't cover the positions and roles my tactic uses. If I knew that, I could have spared him for the work he did (Which I support)

now that would be interesting :)

a bit like FM13 when ilfandy ( forgot the name ) did this

why not test all the tactics on this site against each other?

I have done that sort of test before, but the results will in no way be of any information regarding to how a tactic will perform against the computer. It will not only not do that, but it will neither give information about which tactic is best in a multiplayer game, unless all players use the exact tactics as the ones tested in such a test. However, it has potential entertainment value :)

a_ilfandy did not do pure face to face tests. He tested 4 tactics in a league of computer teams + these 4.
you mean like this: http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/football-manager-2014-tactics/153785-tactic-testing-league-fm14.html

Yup, that's what I mean :)
yes I think that may be a problem with the more unusual tactics you are always going to be trying to put square pegs into round holes because not many clubs will have 3 specialist Dm's and 2 specialist SS's aswell as others as back-up so you are always going to have to compromise somewhere.

Well, in a real game you can build your team around a tactic. So you buy a lot of DM's for a three DM tactic :) If you don't have money, you get a lot of DM's from free transfer.
