Welcome To Gaming Haven



Gaming Haven is a new gaming forum that my friends and I have set up. It is currently still very much a WIP, but we are looking for people to sign up to see how much interest we can get. Please keep that in mind as you look about as it may possibly be changing. We are also looking at buying a domain name, possibly as soon as the end of the week, but again this depends on interest. We are also looking at developing a front page containing news and other information.

We are looking to create a fun community, and get lots of people involved in online game games and tournaments. We are mainly focusing this forum on two sections: Tournaments and Reviews.

Tournaments

We plan to host many tournaments on many different consoles for our members to take part in. The tournaments will range from games like Fifa to CoD, Gears of War to Forza. We want everyone to join in and take part. We have also planned to hold an Xbox 360 tournament (PS3 ones to come later) every month where you can win free Microsoft Points! Your Reviews

We are also looking for people to write reviews on the games that they have played. We are looking for good writers to join our team, and help our community find the right games. Once we have developed a front page, we will be putting your reviews on them. If you are interesting in becoming a writer for our forum, please take a look at this thread here

Looking to start our first tournament tonight. It will probably be a Gears of War 3 one. Sign up and get involved :)

We have just changed the look of out forum. We are looking for feedback on it.

If there are any reasons why you dont wish to sign up right now, please let us know. If you are honest, we can try do something to fix the problems.

I have no idea why that is then. I can change your names afterwards though if you want me to?
 
ok ill sign up again in a bit. Yeah changing my name to Jak would be good :)

Thats a common issue with forumotion. We had to change a few members names also as they were unavailable at the time of registering.

I thought it may have been something to do with forumotion rather than my set up.

If you want me to change your name, just PM me on Gaming Haven. I will make a thread for it too
 
Overall I like the layout. It is neat and tidy. Maybe add a few sub categories when the member base is a bit bigger. Such as specific tournaments and topics for a popular game rather than a single thread about a game. I may decide to sign up at a later date as I dont have much time for forums at the minute.

One other suggestion is to maybe add the users online box at the bottom. It doesnt really slow down the speed until you hit 50 active users.
