Ask UNCLE MAD (UNCLE MAD'S BOX OF CHOCCY'S)

Argentinian Players Ive found in my Lanus save

GK - Augustin Marchesin. Young, very good stats and very consistent. Would grace even top teams and would not be too expensive.

CF: Marcos Astina. Bit of a wonderkid. Starts OK but quickly improves./Lucas Melano. Also bit of a wonderkid. Will improve. Tends to score in patches/Silvio Romero (26 yo at the start. Cant stop scoring for me with Lanus).

DEF: Facundo Monteseirin (19yo at the start. Is starting XI material for non top teams and will improve -cb)/Emanuel Mammana (River Plate - cb. Brill and almost at Balanta level)

What's a good PPM to apply to your players in this years FM?

Dunno mate. Dont/cant use ppms. As I always have 3 very different tactics, with my players playing different roles in each I always get confused by ppms and end up teaching none (only to the wbs do I teach knock ball past opponents etc)

Interesting! When you say you have 3 very different tactics are you talking formations as well?

Only ask out of curiousity, when i set up i generally have 1 formation but 3 very different ways of sending it out (first year anyway). Works for me but always wonder how other people go about doing things :)

Yup - formation as well. I follow my tactical "rules" highlighted in previous posts. Currently I have a Lanus save where I have:

1. A 423AML (inverted) asymmetric. Pressing and direct football.
2. A strikerless 4def3dm3am tweaked from STRIKERLESS (by Guido) - google it.
3. A 451 with an anchorman with counter mentality (which I dont much like.

LOOOOOL!

Brawler
Please, dear readers, bow your heads in respect, for Mediawatch has some sorrowful news to share.

After allegedly being caught up in the 'PREM STARS' XMAS BRAWL' between the QPR and Crystal Palace squads, Rio Ferdinand's clothing has been left in a critical condition.

'DONG! Drinks spilled on Rio,' The Sun solemnly report on their front page.

Why must bad things happen to good people?

Peacemaker
There are several things about The Sun's report that Mediawatch enjoyed.

Firstly, the idea of Joey Barton acting as peacemaker is very amusing. We're sure everyone calmed down after being poked in the eye with a lit cigar.

Sticking with Barton, this paragraph is also excellent: 'There were claims that Barton had been attacked in the fracas. Chris Jack tweeted: 'A lass I went to school with has tonight kicked Joey Barton in the b*llocks. Seems some people don't change.''

Yes, that Joey Barton, always getting kicked in the b*llocks.

It's also good to see that The Sun know the identity of the top English scorer in the Premier League, referring to Charlie Austin as the 'unnamed man' in a photo with Rio Ferdinand and Eduardo Vargas.

And finally, we couldn't finish without mentioning the description of 'ex-Chelsea star' Jody Morris.

A quick call to the sports desk might have been helpful.

LOL!

In a series of tweets clearly sent after indulging in a little Christmas cheer, Wright also called for the sacking of somebody - anybody, it seems - at Arsenal for allowing Cesc Fabregas to join Chelsea this summer.
Wright quickly deleted the tweets before admitting that he had "had a few", though he also added: "Many a true word spoken in drunken tongue!"
The original tweet read: 'For the record the mere fact that Fabregas is at Chelsea when we had first option, don't care who but someone should be sacked.'
After receiving some choice feedback, Wright then wrote: 'So disappointed with the amount of prize w*****’s who are supporting the club I love. Wish I could meet them individually. Would be carnage!'
Clearly, we are most disappointed at that use of the apostrophe in 'w*****s'.

Is there a way to get a striker set to trequartista to help out defensively a bit more or would I just have to change the role completely?
