I've tweaked this tactic. DOWNLOAD HERE https://www.mediafire.com/?gd270649d8t2b39
For more info see post #24 on page 3. Thanks. Any inputs still welcome.
OKAY, so I uploaded a Libero tactic the other day that was pretty decent, but now I've come up with a way better one, thrashing opponents, but I dont know how to delete the old thread. Anyway here goes.
You will have lots of possesion and goals from through balls in the middle of the pitch. I will guide you through the differents positions and roles.
GK - Sweeper keeper support Needs to have good aerial reach, command the area and be great on one on ones as we play with a high defensive line
SW - Libero attack. Most likely you wont have a good libero in your squad to begin with. What i do is to retrain a player with good vision, pace, passing, dribble, heading and positioning. It can either be a defender, midfielder or one of your ball playing offensive wingbacks, who you wont need for this tactic anyway. Have him work on PPMs like gets forward whenever possible, runs with ball through the middle, tries killerballs often.
CF(L) - Ball playing defender defend. This player needs to have good tackling, and pace as well as he will confront lots of pacey wingers. Have the player with highest dribble rating of your left footed defenders play here. PPMs could be tries to play way out of trouble.
CF(C) - Ball playing defender stopper. Your middle defender needs to be good in the air. PPMs could be mark tighter(or whatever its named in english).
CF(R) - Ball playing defender defend. This player also needs good tackling and pace as well as positioning, but he wont need to be able to dribble. PPMs could be tries to play way out of trouble.
CM(L) - Central midfield attack. Have your playmaking type of player play in this position. PPMs Tries killerballs often. Arrives late in the area.
CM(C) - Central midfield attack - Have your more matchspoiler type of player play here. PPMs can be very different here but I would go for at least places shots, and maybe likes one-twos.
CM(R) - Central midfield attack - Have the fastest of your central midfielders play here. He needs good of the ball and finishing. PPMs Runs into channels. Likes one-twos. Likes to round keeper(dont know whats its called in english)
OFFMID(L) - Shadowstriker - Here you will play your flashy dribbler with lots of flair. You can find use here for one of your wingers that you dont need for this tactic. Off the ball movement and finishing will make him lethal. PPMs Runs into channels. Places shots. Dribbles through the middle or left flank.
OFFMID(C) - Enganche. This player is almost like a targetman, but he needs good vision, finishing and overall class. PPMs could be tries killerballs often. Gets forward whenever possible.
OFFMID(R) - Offensive midfield attack. He acts a bit like a right wing but without all the dribbling. I have found that a retrained targetman kind of player works fine in this role. But I dont know which type of player is ideal in this role. The player i'm using right now with great succes is a targetman that I have retrained. His PPMs are shoots with power, plays with back to goal, and knocks ball past opponent.
I know you will have a lot of players in your squad who wont be naturally fitted for this tactic. Dont lose hope. Retrain them for new positions. Offensive wingback types work well as central midfielders, libero and can even work as a shadowstriker/offensive midfielder.
Your strikers can be played as either of the front three depending on what type of player he is. Wide players like wingers/inside forwards are great in the shadowstriker and even enganche role.
TWEAKS ARE AS ALWAYS WELCOME.
OPP INSTRUCTIONS. I just leave them to *** manager, but maybe tactic can be improved further here.
TRAINING. I rotate between balanced, ball control and offensive. And between def.pos, off movements and team cohesion. I train tactic until fully fluid.
