Hello FM fans, this is the first time I have ever uploaded a tactic and I feel I have finally made a realistic version of Klopp's Liverpool tactic. It relies on fast counter attacking moves with very high pressing. The tactic is not plug and play, it took me until November time for the team to start firing however didn't lose my first game until December and that was away against Arsenal. Also, this is NOT a possession tactic, I averaged 52% across a season but you will watch some sexy football which got 6 LFC players into the Team of The Year.

Signings - Only the 1 - Hakim Zyech from Ajax for 15.75m.
Like real life, Liverpool are missing that flair player no.10 who can change the game with a through ball out of nowhere, Hakim Zyech fits the bill. He scored 20 goals and assisted 9 in his first season, an absolute steal at 15.75m.

Training - Give this to your Assistant Manager. Training is a LOT more complex this year and I found that leaving training to the *** Man keeps training levels high and ensures you're preparing perfectly for every match.

Opposition Instructions
- I always give to Assistant Manager however set default instructions to what you see in the below image...

IMPORTANT: - When facing a strong team and you think they will press, change your goalkeeper to distribute long kicks instead of short.

- Also, when facing your bitter rivals, (in Liverpool's case, Everton and United) remove the 'Get stuck in' instruction.

- When down to 10 men, use your own initiative, I had 2x sending offs the whole season and each time I removed the DM as I didn't want to lose that attacking option - I lost on both occasions (to City and Arsenal) so it's really down to you.

Positions: Left back - Andrew Robertson. As you can see from the screenshot below, he was my best player all season. Andy racked up 13 assists. It is vital that your left back can equal his crossing ability alongside his work rate and stamina. He was pivotal to my success as the majority of my attacks came from the left wing.

Left/Right wing - Pretty obvious one here, pace pace and more pace. I use Salah as a wide Poacher by having crosses sent to far post from the left. He scored 22 goals in 38 appearances in all comps which isn't to be scoffed at however he'd have scored so many more had he not had a few injuries along the way.

I have only tried this over 1 season with LFC so I can't answer whether or not it will work with smaller clubs but let me know if it does :)

try to made this tactic also, but didn't know what role should i use on the 2 CM.
i try bbm & MEZ/CM-at in CM role,but result didn't look good.
& i use DLP-De also,F9 & if,all same.Just my version more direct.
i'm unhappy with how the team play.

look like your version more short pass,& the attacking play not that urgent.
my version more urgent, but result didn't look good.

i made the tactic base on this report :

Hi mate,

I started off my tactic with 'much higher tempo' and 'more direct passing' however I just found that possession was being overturned far too easily. Also, if you watch how Liverpool play, yes they are quick, but they're are times this year where they slow play down in the build up and are more patient :)

Also, with the Cms, I copied this off a previous tactic from FM18, for some reason it just works so well for me, even if it says the CM attack doesn't suit the player.

i did try short play too,but look more like tiki-taka to me.
but i may learn something i fail when i try in tiki-taka.

short play, low tempo, time wasting, them the player hold position & pass around.
this is what i miss in tiki-taka.I may try pep style later.

Hi mate,

I've only tried with Liverpool so I couldn't say for certain. I can imagine it at least working with top teams though as long as you have wingers and full backs with pace.

Dear Mr LDPLFC

I almost gave up using tactics from around the internet, losses galore, couldn't beat any big teams and then it happened, your tactic was downloaded and used...

I'd like to thank you for being a reason for me dancing around in celebration of this victory and my first time beating them..

Wow, 5-0 against Chelsea with Newcastle is impressive! You're welcome mate, I has a feeling it would work with other teams!
Glad you got your FM mojo back again lol

Hi mate, yes you can however I found the most success with CM attack

this tactic is fantastic!

After you get the team to know it, is awesome! Started unemployed, got hired in Malagueno (Spain Second B4), won the league - predicted 16th.
Now I'm in the second division and in the 9th position, with just a few free transfer signings and a couple of players from the bigger club Malaga.

You don't understand how happy this makes me! I'm glad it's working for you!

It may just be me... but it seems the last update rendered this tactic useless :(

Hey,

I am trying your tactic with Valencia, pre-season was great.
first two matches got only 1 point ( lost to real sociedad 1-0 away, tie 2-2 againt atletico madrid home)
Even though, the match stats were great for me.
My team shooting and controlling the game much more.

I have only one issue and it's about bookings.
Each game I am getting like 5-6 yellow cards, removing 'Get stuck in' not helping

Hi mate,

I found that giving it time stops the yellow cards once they get used to the tactic
