Manchester City-Manchester United headlines a bumper Wednesday night of eight Premier League matches, three Championship clashes and a Johnstone's Paint Trophy quarter-final.

Marlon Harewood collects the ball, breaks the offside trap, bears down on goal... then trips over and misses. The Holte End is not surprised.

Wednesday 2-0 Hartlepool

Neil Mellor you beast !

And Downing scores a deflected shot off his right foot! Lovely little flick between his legs to set up the shot.

Villa 1-0 Blackpool

Hearts 1-0 Celtic

Ian Black.

Really enjoying John Hartson attempting to say Gary Hooper. It appears his Welsh accent prevents him from doing so.

Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 Hartlepool

What is happening tonight?

I just cannot understand it. A 5-1 win over Sunderland and a 1-0 away victory against ARSENAL, yet we fail to turn up at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Big shame that we are showing a lack of consistency, especially at home where we did not lose for a season. It's time to prove we are Premier League material! For that we need consistency!

Celtic and Rangers are both losing what are the odds??

Joe Ledley straight red for lunge on Ian Black, what a mug. 2-0 Hearts, Davie Templeton. Wooo.^^)

Scholes' yellow means that he will miss the Villa game.

Ian Black now injured and has been taken off. :S Ryan Stevenson on to replace 'um.

In all honesty, Celtic are playing **** poor, which is helping Hearts a lot, as would it help any team.

No disrespect to hearts, but celtic come of the back of a 9-0 win and you can't beat hearts!

Had a Collins header cleared off the line, Young's had a shot, Dunne'***** the post, Harewood's sent a header wide and Phillips stung the hands of Friedel with a vicious shot. This is great stuff at Villa Park.

that was mostly because of how bad aberdeen where, tonight hearts are playing okay and we are a shambles, i still think that we may comeback though

None taken, we're not the best side in Scotland. XD Neil Lennon sent to the stand though, he's heading for an epic fine. If my lip reading skill serve me correctly, I believe he called the 4th official 'A ****** Wank'. What a crazy man he is.
