I started using your tactic in classic mode with Chelsea, and at the beginning i was smashing opponents with ease, but suddenly everything changed and now i lose every single game without fail, to teams like Norwich etc.
I dont have any unhappy players in my team, the morale was superb when this started, and the confidence meter says that theres a good atmosphere coming from the dressing room. I made several big signings (Hernandez, Jovetic, Vidal, Ben Arfa) so its not like i have a weak squad - they all gelled immediately and everything was amazing before. Now, its just all not working for some reason
This has actually happened to me with pretty much every tactic i have used in FM 13 so far. The interesting thing is
that the players dont seem to be following tactical instructions anymore. My wingers are not running down the line and crossing anymore (which, before, they always did), but they cut in ALL the way from one wing to another, pointlessly dribbling and then taking outrageous long shots! All the time! My fullbacks have been doing the same.
I've checked the settings - hug touchline, cross ball often and all the normal settings are still intact. Shouts like exploit flanks, play wider, play through defence and work ball into box are doing
nothing to stop the incessant dribbling and ridiculous long shots...by ridiculous i mean from 40 years and completely off target...sometimes over 15 of those a game.
My players also seem to not recognize good opportunities - players are open for a through ball yet competent and creative passers like frank lampard or vidal inexplicably turn around on the spot to face my own goal and either lose the ball or pass all the way back to the defence or keeper. They also do ridiculous long balls across the field from one fullback to the opposite wing or striker which could never work...
Anyone's got any suggestions what to do? lordofavp, i actually though that the style of play of your tactic (before everything went to ****) was the best ive seen so far in FM13, and ive tried like 20 tactics or more so far. Before, i had so many amazing intricate passing moves going on on the edge of the box to release the forward or the wingers inside the box to smash it in, and the crossing plays were beautifully done - they were executed with blinding pace and i would have a good 4 ppl attacking the box and the wide players just needed to pick 1. I seriously loved the tactic, one of my favourite tactic ever, please help me!
