Callamity's 4141 for 15.3.1
Hey Chaps
Having had my tactic from last year be only moderately successful on this years game and the amount exploity tactics going around with the long throws, corners, 3 strikers etc I didnt see much point updating this old thing, instead I opted to play the game how it was intended by creating tactics to fit my team and changing them as the saves progressed. It has been my most enjoyable time in FM. After the final patch came out I plugged in the old fella to see how it would go. and adjusted it to suit. This was about 5 games into the second season with Newcastle where I had only signed 2 cb's and various squad players. I was changing from a 4231 to a 4141 so had to use jack coleback as my defensive midfielder and not gonna mention rolando aarons on the wings Anyways onto the tactic itself:
Formation, roles and duties
Old New

What has changed?
Roles:
Wingbacks have changed to fullbacks. duties the same. I feel these provide more defensive stability aswell as better link up play with wingers.
Anchorman changed to Defensive Midfielder. Anchor man was playing too deep almost like a halfback who was about 4 yards away from the CB's didnt provide the link up play I was looking for.
Center midfielder support changed to deeplying playmaker. This change wasnt about the CM((s) not performing I thought he was doing quite well, however with the false9 being the only and main playmaker in the team there were alot of long balls from the back trying to get the ball to him. This was a mistake which has been in the tactic since the beginning :s oops. Now we have a playmaker lower down the pitch who will prevent this from happening.
Team Shape changed from very fluid to fluid: another mistake which should have been rectified earlier. Using Wwfans guide (this is the main guide i use to adjust shape) I should not have had more than 1 specialist role in my team. I had two with an anchor and a f9. I now again have 2 using a dlp and a F9.

I found Hull to have a very poor squad for the BPL and have not made any transfers. I think being able to come 2nd in the league and win a cup double including the europa league is a very good achievement with them. This leaves me confident that this tactic will work with any team so long as the players are suitable for the roles.
Set Pieces are not one of the short corner set ups, however James Chester managed 17 goals in all competitions from corners. We also had the highest goals scored from corners in the league. set your wingers to take the corners and you should achieve similar results if not better as Hull have poor corner takers.

Quite the result considering this team was not built for this tactic either. Neither was it amazing you can see the first team squad I ended up using in the formation at the start.

This is with the default set up, no changes whatsoever. My wingers take my corners.
Training
I will give you my training this part does not effect the tactics performance only how well your players will develop.
Set team training to balanced and low. Match prep to what you want to use( I use Attacking movement) and set this to 20%
now go to individual training set this to whichever attribute your player needs most(if you are unsure of this use the role they will play) and heavy. This will give a medium workload whilst maximizing individual player development.
Opposition instructions
I used to swear by these as making the adjustments needed for each different match. Not anymore these change defensive shape aswell as run the risk of players being sent off or injured far too much.
