FMBase Lost Talents 2.0 - Attackers' Revenge Story

MAY & JUNE Updates:
gremiog.png

Hulkster suffered an injury in May after making 2 appearances after the last update. At the end of this update, Hulkster will be sidelined for another 2 to 3 months after suffering a torn calf muscle. Gremio have lost 2 matches already in the first 11 matches, winning 4 others and drew the 5 rest. With Hulkster out injured, Gremio will have to find a way to score goals due to their lack of fire power. Proven by their lack of goals in the games since Gremio's injury. Even Hulkster's injury hasn't stopped Gremio from raising his Minimum Release to $259,000,000.
corinthiansw.png

Maccabi Haifa and Corinthians have agreed on a loan deal that will see Messy Hallow move back to his native country until the end of 2016. Maccabi Haifa were willing to give up his services for half a year to get keep him playing senior football. Messy is right now on his way there and will surely be ready to prove to his countrymen that he still got what it takes even though he has not made many appearances over the past year.
cruzeirof.png

Matthew Cameron has upped his game this past 2 months by scoring 6 goals in the past 8 matches, collecting 2 other assists and being awarded 2 more MotM. Even if Cameron has played better since the start of the Brazilian League, the rest of his team haven't been as good. Losing 4 of their 11 league matches. They also lost to Atletico Mineiro in the Minas State Champions Final.
chivas.png

Chivas have signed a new deal with Reginald Bottomtoucher Jr even though he is still in Colombia with Tolima. He's new deal will see him stay at Chivas for another 3 years when he gets back to his contracted team. The 2nd Lost Talent player, Valderrama, has been getting lots of interest from Europe. Topping the list is Atletico Madrid followed by HSV, from Germany, and Palermo of Italy. Now that we are in the middle of the Transfer Window, there will be lots of speculation as the we move towards the end of September. There are even rumors that Dortmund, PSV and Malaga are after the young Brazilian.
tolima.png

Reginald Bottomtoucher Jr helped Tolima top the Colombian League's 1st Phase with a 2 points clearance. Tolima then went on to face Deportivo Cali. After losing the first leg 2-0 away from home. Come the second leg, Tolima flicked the switch and went on to win 3-0 in front of their home fans to send them home to an all night party. As for the Colombian Cup, Tolima are still top of the group with 5 wins and 5 draws without losing a game. Reginald has so far scored 3 goals and assisted 4 others in 20 matches for Tolima this season.
universidad.png

Universidad de Chile ended their Apertura Stage in the playoffs spot, but ended up losing to Colo Colo (who finished 1st in the standings), in the Semi Finals. Raul had a great first half of the year, scoring 14 goals in 29 matches played. He has also collected 6 assists in the first 6 months.
marseille.png

Martin Batistuta ended his first season with Marseille by scoring 15 goals, collecting 5 assists, 2 MotM awards in 36 matches played. He has also picked up 8 yellow cards and 1 red card. It wasn't good enough to help Marseille win Ligue 1. Coming 2nd behind Lyon for the 3rd year straight. Next year, Martin will try to help Marseille win the Ligue 1 for the first time since 2012.

Javier Squeekles was the only one able to add an assist to his stats. Martin Batistuta on the other hand, has been the busiest of players in the Qualifiers. It may not sound much, but Batistuta has averaged to cover 9.8km every 90 minutes. In the Assists category, both Martin Batistuta and Javier Squeekles are joint top with most assists in the World Cup qualifiers with 3 a peice. Oswaldo Nino is right behind them with 2 assists himself.

OTHER News:
- There hasn't been much going on with half the players on break.
- Chelsea were quick to pull the trigger by signing Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow for $32,500,000. Liverpool have also dipped into the transfer window by signing Aaron Lennon from Tottenham for $15,500,000. Liverpool also signed Jeremy Menez from PSG to strengthen their squad for $29,000,000.

FMBase Lost Talents 2.0 - Attackers' Revenge /// 5 Season Players' Review

This is a simple review really. I was thinking of doing it differently. Realized that it will take some time, so decided to go for an easier route. The pictures will show the players' Attributes, Biography, Awards, Competition Medals and Landmarks. Check it out and let the debate begin on who the better player has been. I forgot to get the stats written down, i will do that at a later time. Overall though, Brazilian players have been the busiest of all. Followed closely by Juan Pablo Miguel. Internationally though, Javier Squeekles has been the best of all. Already scoring 16 career goals.

I know it's a lot of attachments, but i think its good enough to give you guys an idea of how things are looking for the players so far in their careers. It's looking bright for many of them...well most of them i think. Hope you enjoyed the update lads. There is one or two more updates coming later in the day. Hopefully before the football matches start tonight.

- Son of a Drug Addict's Rise to Colombian Football's Brightest Star -

The screaming was wild and loud. A young boy sitting on the floor, hit back against the corner of the wall, rocking back and forth while covering his ears in attempt to shut the noise. No matter what he does, across the wall he is facing, the knock on the wall keeps getting louder and louder until silence grows over both rooms. Minutes pass. ‘Es una recapitulación!’ breaks the silence. Bottomtoucher Jr. gets back to his feet… flicks the ball up with his right foot, starts to and practices his shooting, aiming at his target between two chairs… Starting his own banging on the wall as the time passes by until he heads back home later in the night.

Reginald Bottomtoucher Jr recalls his early childhood times when his mother took him to make adult movie flicks. He never enjoyed these dark days. Present time hasn’t been any easier for the young Colombian footballer. Reginald first moved to Colombia when his parents broke up soon after his birth, staying with his Mother. These days, after moving back to Colombia for a loan spell with Deportivo Tolima, Bottomtoucher has also been taking care of his Father.

Sitting at a café, sipping onto Juan Valdez coffee – great coffee by the way – Reginald had just come back from the penitentiary. Penitentiary? I was in shock. What was he doing there? With his Father’s known criminal records, many have been wondering if Junior would follow suit. Bookies have even placed some odds on the young Bottomtoucher to get face to face with the law while he is in Colombia. Today wasn’t him getting out of prison though, he assured me that he was just going to pick up his father, who had just come out after spending the past 2 years on possession of cocaine. There are even rumours that Senior had even spent some time with Maradona… the rumors even go deeper by suggesting that he even influenced the world superstar. Bottomtoucher himself doesn’t totally dismiss it, saying that knowing his father’s in and out of prison trips, it’s a possibility.

Reginald was reluctant to continue on his parent’s past, wanting to concentrate on his present career. So we went on talking about why he decided to sign for Chivas instead of starting his career at a younger age in Colombia instead. ‘Oh Chivas…¿Cómo puedo declive?’ Reginald might have grown up away from his father, staying with his Pornstar mother, Cammi Bottomtoucher. But he was the first to sit in front of his TV when Chivas were on. He was quick to point that his dad had sent him up to Mexico to watch him live at the stadium. So growing up, Chivas were to become his loved team and none other. So when the opportunity came, he jumped on the chance, even if he would have to wait until the age of 18.

It was worth the wait insisted Reginald. He decided to study quantum theory, specializing in the Higgs-Boson theory. He was smart enough to get a degree in his study. Other than studying, he was honing his skills during his time at University, which Chivas were happy to help. He still reads on particle physics during his time off away from the field to keep himself up to date with his second career. Bottomtoucher also said to be a huge Football Manager fan, playing the game whenever possible. The love for his current club runs so deep, that he uses them all the time in Football Manager.

So where from now I wondered? As he placed the last few pieces of his cake into his mouth, Reginald admitted that he his ultimate goal was to win the World Cup, which has eluded his father during his career. Who wouldn’t though? Every footballer’s dream is to make their father’s proud. Bottomtoucher Jr. also wants to make his mother proud. It might not have been the ideal way of taking care of a kid, but Cammi Bottomtoucher was willing to sacrifice for her child…sin or not.

As I find my way back to the airport, I sat there contemplating on this staggering, stranger life he had. How does son of a criminal-drug-addict Colombian football legend and a Pornstar mother end up being one of the brightest stars of football in a criminal-infested country? You would only have to be in the shoes of the 8 year old boy, rocking back and forth in the dimly lit room… what went through his mind I wondered.

been away from this site for a bit, but nice to come back and see that my Batistuta has blossomed into a great talent... And even better, he's playing regularly for Marseille! Keep up the good work Moe, i'm sure Batistuta will lead Marseille to the Ligue 1 title next season :D

Loving the 5 year update man , can't wait to see how Squeekles gets on next season :D

JULY & AUGUST Updates:
napolih.png

Squeekles only made 1 start for Napoli before he made his way back to South America for a friendly and some World Cup Qualifying. And he left his mark on that first Serie A game. After Napoli went 2-0 down away from home at Udinese. Javier spearheaded the comeback by scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. With the momentum back in full swing, his teammate followed suit with a goal in the 85th minute. Just before the final whistle though, Javier Squeekles hit the net again to give his club the first win in the new season. A perfect start to the season for Mr. Squeekles.
atlmadrid.png

Another Lost Talent player has made his way to Europe. This time it was Atletico Madrid's turn to splash out the money on a young rising talent. Moving to Spain is Kenrry Valderrama. After only a season and a half after moving to Chivas, Madrid splashed out $7,750,000 on Valderrama. Valderrama only made a handful of appearances for the Mexican club, but it was enough to convince the Spaniard that he was worth the fee that Chivas asked for. It seems that Knerry shines in continental competition. In 2 Season League matches, Valderrama didn't create much. In Europa League, Valderrama played another 2 matches, this time scoring a goal and assisting another.
marseille.png

Martin Batistuta has made 3 starts already. Scoring 1 goal for Marseille. Batistuta didn't play in the Champions Trophy which they lost to Lyon. In Ligue 1 though, Marseille have gone unbeaten in 5 matches. Martin has left the team to join Argentina for the qualifying matches.
metalist.png

Juan Pablo is known to have slow starts to his season in his early career. This season has been different though, already scoring 2 goals in 8 matches for Metalist. The highest he has scored in 1 season was 3 goals, and he is already close to breaking his own record. He, like most players in Lost Talent, made his way back to South America for the South American World Cup Qualifiers.
youngboys.png

Young Boys young Uruguayan star, Ignacio Ballena, started the season with a bang. In only his 2nd game of the season with Young Boys, the first in Europa League Qualifying match's 1st leg, Ballena smashed in 4 goals in a 4-0 win over an Icelandic team that we can even bother writing/announcing. In the return leg, Ballena again was on fire, scoring 2 goals and collecting 1 assist in a 5-0. Overall, he has scored 7 goals and has 1 assist in 6 overall matches. His great form this far into the season has made the Uruguayan Manager sit up and take notice and sent an invitation to make his way to South America.
internacionale.png

Oswaldo Nino has always played well for all the clubs he has joined without hesitation. In 9 matches, he has already scored 2 goals and created 1 other.
tolima.png

Reginald Bottomtoucher Jr has kept up his good form for Tolima, but has only helped them to 2nd this far into the 2nd Stage of the Colombian League. Tolima have also made their way past Bolivar in the Copa Sudamericana Preliminary Round and will be going head to head against Cerro from Uruguay. Bottomtoucher has already picked up 3 goals and 5 assists over the 2 Colombian Stages.
corinthiansw.png

Onto the new Corinthians signing, Messy Hallow has done a decent job for his new club. He has helped the team climb up to 1st place after 23 matches and win the Recopa game with a 2-0 win in the return leg after losing the first 1-0 to Boca. He has now got 3 goals and 3 assists in 11 match appearances.
universidad.png

Raul has only made 5 appearances since our last update. Scoring 3 goals and picking up 1 assist in that stretch. This great form has placed Universidad de Chile in 2nd place of the Chilean Clausura League, with only 1 point seperating them from Colo Colo, who are topping the league table.

OTHER News:
Not much going on in this update, as you can tell, it was the start of many leagues in Europe, and as half of the players are playing there at this time of the story, many have only starting playing again. Next update will feature South America World Cup Qualifying, with 4 matches to be played in the 2 months. So some players will start to feel the heat, especially the ones who will be flying in from Europe.

*Most time consuming update yet. Watching the Derby della Madonnina and posting here is not such a great idea afterall.

I'm just happy I play well at every club I turn out for.

Surely a European club will gamble on me soon enough!

SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER Updates:
universidad.png

Raul hit his 15 goal mark bonus at the start of September. From then on, he has gone to score 7 other goals for Universidad de Chile before injuring his hip. The injury will sideline him for the next 2-3 months, which will be a great blow for the club. After the injury blow, Universdad de Chile lost 5 games on the trot that saw them crash out of both Copa Sudamericana and the Chilean Club within the same week. Losing that 5th game, which was a League Match, dropped Universidad from 2nd to 4th place in the standing.
marseille.png

Batistuta has been hit with an injury as well. Martin is at the moment receiving special treatment for his damaged Achilles Tendon that will see him sidelined for a maximum of 2 months. In the 11 matches he has played this season, he has already scored 4 goals. He was also able to make 4 appearances for Argentina during the South American World Cup qualifier and was able to collect 2 assists. In the early going of the season, Marseille are 6th in the table.
cruzeirof.png

Cameron has been on a decent run as of late, scoring 3 goals in the past 5 games played. Including a MotM performance where he scored 2 goals in a 5-0 win over Cristal in the Sudamericana match. In 37 matches played this season, Cameron has scored 15 goals, assists 6 others and was rewarded 4 MotM awards. Cruzeiro still cant find a way to move up the table since Cameron's arrival. How much longer will Cameron accept his place within the team when lots of clubs would be willing to sign such a player.
gremiog.png

Hulkster has been as prolific as Cameron. Gremio's 20 year old star has already scored 13 goals in 26 matches played. He has also collected 5 assists. Gremio were put aside by Atletico Paranaense in the Copa Sudamericana 2nd Preliminary Round. Their Brazilian League hasn't been any better. Their league form has been an up and down rollercoaster. But it's been good enough to see them in 4th place. With 5 matches left in the season, it will be impossible for Gremio to catch up to Corinthians, who are in first place.
corinthiansw.png

Messy Hallow has been an important part of Corinthians' form this season. After helping them win the Recopa with 2 assists, Hallow has played 15 games for his club this year in the Brazilian league, scoring 6 goals and assisting 2 others. Hallow is also on the way to winning another major title with Corinthians within 6 months. Now he is 5 games away from picking up the Brazilian League medal.
internacionale.png

Oswaldo Nino has done good for Internacional since joining them. In the past 4 games, he has scored 1 goal and made 1 other for his teammate. His international form has seen him become a total different beast. More on that later.
tolima.png

It seems that all players on loan have been doing good. Reginald Bottomtoucher is no exception. After starting the year fast out of the gate by scoring 3 times. After a slow spell since, he has picked up his game again. In the past 2 months, Bottomtoucher Jr as created 5 goals for his teammates to help place Tolima in 3rd place, only 3 points behind Once Caldas, who are in first place. Now they are in the first place of the Playoffs' Group A Stage after winning their first match. There are 5 more matches to be played in the Group Stages before moving on to the next Round.

youngboys.png

Since our last update, Ignacio was only able to score 2 goals in the 6 matches he has played.

atlmadrid.png

Atletico Madrid seem to have signed a good player this past summer. Since joining the Spanish side, Valderrama has scored 3 goals and collecting 2 assists in 14 matches. Madrid are in 5th place in La Liga. Sitting 1 point behind Espanyol, and 8 points behind La Liga leader, Real Madrid.

After going on a 9 game win-less streak, Venezuela has finally won their first match of the Qualifying stage. Beating Uruguay 3-0. Oswaldo Nino was inspirational to the his national squad by scoring 2 goals. Argentina has kept their unbeaten run with a 6-0 win over Bolivia that left Squeekles in a low moral after the game. Squeekles even went in front of the media and criticized his team's lack of intentions.

After the past few matches played, Martin Batistuta now tops the Assists Stats Ranking with 5. Squeekles has been arguably the motor behind his team, with 4 goals and 3 assists in the Qualifying stages after 10 matches played.

OTHER News:
- Sorry for the lack of updates. Been busy lately. I will most likely add another update tonight.
- Check out Harrier's new Be A Club Owner story. Should be a good one. Check it out and join, you must be active too.
- There will 1 more qualifying match in November before their following matches just under 4 months from then.

How much longer will Cameron accept his place within the team when lots of clubs would be willing to sign such a player.

Not much longer hopefully :p

Still doing good for current club though, Which is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeceent

Wow, that was a beast of a game against Uruguay.

Looks like I'm finally hitting my stride!

NOVEMBER & DECEMBER Updates:
corinthiansw.png
maccabihaifa.png

Messy Hallow leaves Brazil to find his way back to Israel with 2 Trophy Medals in his cabinet to show off to friends and family. Messy was able to make 4 more appearances for Corinthians, but was unable to score any goals. The 6 goals and 4 assists under his name were good enough to get him to lift 2 trophies. A proud man making his way back to Maccabi Haifa.
gremiog.png

Hulskter just hit his 15 goal mark at the start of November. With his 15th goal, Hulkster found himself a $550,000 bonus check in the mail. Chi-Ching! Hulktser ended the year with 16 goals and 6 assists for Gremio. Gremio were only able finish in 4th place.
cruzeirof.png

After a consistent season with Cruzeiro with 19 goals, 7 assists and 4 MotM, Matthew Cameron and Cruzeiro have agreed on a new contract that will last for another 5 years and Cameron will now be making $37000 a week with a $166,000,000 minimum release clause. But here is the catch, each goal Cameron scores, it will cost Cruzeiro $3500 each. Every appearances will net Cameron $5750. It just shows how much Cruzeiro were willing to sign their star player.
olimpiab.png
internacionale.png

Oswaldo Nino made his way back to Olimpia after ended his loan with Internacional. Nino did his part with Internacional, making 17 appearances, scoring 3 goals and assisting 3 others. He was only a little naughty, picking up 4 yellow cards on the way. Internacional were only able to finish in 8th place though.
tolima.png

Reginald Bottomtoucher Jr still has 30 days left with Tolima. Bottomtoucher will go back to Chivas after a disappointing loss to Once Caldas in the Chilean League Final. He did what he could have with his 3 goals and 8 assists.
napolih.png

We skipped past Javier Squeekles' performance in our last update. Since the start of the season for Napoli and 17 appearances, Javier has already collected 5 goals and 2 assists. Also picked up a MotM award during the first match of the season when he scored the winner in injury time after starting a 3 goal comeback.
youngboys.png

Young Boys' Ignacio Ballena has finally broken his goalless streak, by scoring the winning goal in the Europa League against Aston Villa. That goal propelled Young Boys into second place of the Group Stage to put them into the 2nd Round of the Europa. Ignacio Ballena's form this year, except the goalless run of form, has been gathering some interest from Sporting Gijon from La Liga. With the winter transfer window about to open next week, who knows what happens. Valued at just over $5 million, it is said that a transfer close to $6,500,000 could seal the deal.
atlmadrid.png

Valderrama has been a hit with the fans since he has joined Atletico Madrid. Half way into the season, Valderrama has already scored 9 goals and collected 5 assists in 25 appearances. Not many thought he would find this form as soon as he made his trip across the pond, but he has exceeded expectations with flying colors.
metalist.png

Juan Pablo Miguel has scored his 5th goal for Metalist this past month. Finally, Metalist have made it to first place after a half a season by jumping ahead of Shakhtar. They now have a 1 point lead over the Ukranian favorites.

Finally Argentina have lost their first match against an unlikely opponent, Peru. Many of the matches ended in dissapointing fashion. Brazil drew against Ecuador, Colombia and Chile drew as well. And in a match that many thought would have many goals, Venezuela and Bolivia drew.

OTHER News:
- Cristiano Ronaldo has again sweeped both FIFA's Ballon d'Or and Football Player of the Year for the second year running.

Hopefully Bottomtoucher can take his loan experience and turn out some amazing performances for Chivas!

Hopefully Messy will move back to Brazil Permanently. He seems to like it there :D

Looks like I'm going to become a legend a Cruzieo :p
