Hahaaa thanks dude. I don't try other tactics or listen to my backroom advice and it seems to work! <)

S.A.D. is the acronym for Sociedad Anónima Deportiva (Anonymous Sport Company). It's enforced by law, since season 2001-2002 or 2002-2003, for any team that wants to compete in La Liga or Liga BBVA. Only exceptions are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético Osasuna. Basically S.A.D. means that they work with the legal scheme of any normal company with owners and shares (? looked in google, don't know the english word myself). While the no S.A.D. is legally ownership of fans who vote a president each four years and that must be called to a meeting to approve the finances reports and whatnot.

ur doing well mate ;) keep it up :/ btw ave always wonderd wit does S.A.D stand for at the end ?

S.A.D stands for Sociedad Anonima Deportiva, which is basically a group of entrepeneurs that make the football club an enterprise, giving the club extra funds and things like that.. it's a very common practice in Spain and in South-America :)

cheers man, great story, great resukts against Real Madrid C.F: ;)

SEPTEMBER

Fans’ trust eye Espanyol takeover – Directors enforce transfer embargo.

11.9.10: Sevilla 1 : 1 ESPANYOL – G. Torrado (45+3) : V. Obinna (47)
16.9.10 (EURO Cup): ESPANYOL 2 : 4 Palermo – R. Tamudo (32), Valdo (76) : E. Cavani (24), Pastore (41, 53), F. Simplicio (66)
19.9.10: Valencia 2 : 2 ESPANYOL – A. Deallbert (10), D. Silva (24) : E. Culio (4), Valdo (65)
22.9.10: ESPANYOL 4 : 1 Recreativo – J. Verdu (11), Angel (15), R. Tmaudo (25, pen 74) : J. Vazquez (57)
26.9.10: Villarreal 4 : 2 ESPANYOL – G. Rossi (15), E. Jonsson (25), J. Llorente (72), X. Prieto (90+1) : V. Obinna (45+2), R. Tamudo (60)
30.9.10: Brondby 2 : 3 ESPANYOL – T. Rasmussen (7), M. Bernburg (69) : Coro (40, 74), D. Vila (44)

A draw away to Sevilla and Valencia is a good take, I’m pleased. Beating newly-promoted Recreativo was a good result, but I’m unhappy with the away loss at Villarreal. An up and down month, looking to come back stronger the next.

OCTOBER

3.10.10: Athletic Bilbao 1 : 1 ESPANYOL – J. Martinez (27) : J. Verdu (21)

Argh, I forgot I had FM running and was talking to someone on MSN! ****! Oh well, 1 point’s better than nothing :)

Nicolas Pareja has just returned from injury, and now my other main DC has been ruled out for a month! What!?

17.10.10: ESPANYOL 1 : 0 Gimnastic – V. Obinna (40)
21.10.10 (EURO Cup): ESPANYOL 2 : 3 Fulham – V. Obinna (79, 81) : C. Dempsey (41, 90+2), D. Kamara (47)
24.10.10: Barcelona 7 : 0 ESPANYOL – Xavi (10, 42, 52, 59), C. Obasi (16, 45, 75)
27.10.10 (Spanish Cup 4th Round Leg 1): Villa Santa Brigida 0 : 2 ESPANYOL – L. Garcia (2), I. De la Pena (57)
31.10.10: ESPANYOL 3 : 1 Real Betis – N. Pareja (18), B. Sahar (34), F. J. Chica (69) : S. Garcia (66)

Very disappointed with the embarrassing 7-0 defeat away at Barca, seeing as we beat them last season. Accepted the defeat against Fulham as we showed brilliant signs of attacking football, and Dempsey’s winner was a 35 yarder. I’m also disappointed at where we are in the league. It can only get better :p

NOVEMBER

4.11.10 (EURO Cup): Fulham 3 : 2 ESPANYOL – D. Murphy (pen 34, pen 36), J. P. Angel (43) : V. Obinna (39), Valdo (49)
9.11.10 (Spanish Cup 4th Round Leg 2): ESPANYOL 1 (3) : (1) 1 Villa Santa Brigada – Valdo (11) : R. Alvarez (67)
13.11.10: ESPANYOL 3 : 2 Real Zaragoza – E. Culio (42), V. Obinna (72, 75) : Ewerthon (36), Arizmendi (63)

I would just like to point out Victor Obinna was substituted ON at 67 mins. Super sub? Oh yes!

21.11.10: Malaga 0 : 1 ESPANYOL – J. Forlin (57)
24.11.10: ESPANYOL 3 : 1 Xerex – J. Forlin (4), S. Nakamura (8), V. Obinna (46) : G. Maldonado (6 (six))
28.11.10: ESPANYOL 3 : 3 Tenerife – Valdo (5), B. Sahar (14), V. Obinna (25) : Nino (30, 72), Luna (90+6)

I’m annoyed we couldn’t keep Tenerife to a 3-1 lead, but the equaliser came 3 minutes AFTER the 3 minutes allotted for stoppage time!

Overall a pleasing month, unbeaten in the league. Very disappointed to see our conceding continue, not good if I want to make a title challenge!

22.12.10: ESPANYOL 2 : 0 Racing – S. Nakamura (62), V. Obinna (71)

I’m totally thrilled with this month, getting a draw away at Athletico Madrid and winning the rest. Genuinely think I can finish 3rd this season, and looking to build up a nice squad to challenge for the title next year. Also, I'm not too bothered about crashing out (literally!) in the EURO Cup <)

9.1.11: Xerex 1 : 1 ESPANYOL – Antonito (60) : R. Tamudo (90)
12.1.11 (Spanish Cup Fifth Round Leg 2): Recreativo 3 (5) : (4) 2 ESPANYOL – A. Colunga (9), P. Gallardo (18), P. Sanchez (39) : L. Garcia (pen 11), David (79)
16.1.11: ESPANYOL 1 : 0 Sevilla – B. Sahar (24)
22.1.11: Real Madrid 1 : 1 ESPANYOL – C. Ronaldo (26) : L. Garcia (41)
30.1.11: ESPANYOL 3 : 1 Valencia – J. Verdu (32), B. Sahar (78), N. Pareja (pen 89) : D. Villa (52)

I’m ecstatic over the form we’ve had. We are now unbeaten in 15 Liga BBVA matches :D I can now say we’re back to challenging third, and maybe even second if Barcelona and Real Madrid slip up. At least Madrid have been played twice, and I regard Barca as the only threat left in the league, and possibly Villarreal. Chuffed with the away draw to R. Madrid and pleased with the home wins vs. Sevilla and Valencia.

4 wins out of 4, this is title-winning form! ‘Morale is high and we fear no one!’. 2 weeks – Barcelona! Ha! <) Really pleased with the wins, disappointed to have conceded so many after scoring so many, but that’s football.

Yeah mate, cheers! Got Barcelona in two weeks. That should be fun <) At least it'll prove if I'm strong enough to challenge for the league next season.

MARCH

Espanyol takeover could be close

Money? Give it to me ;) <)

6.3.11: Real Zaragoza 2 : 2 ESPANYOL – J. Arizmendi (4), Ewerthon (22) : E. Culio (29), J. Verdu (40)

ESPANYOL TAKEOVER COMPLETED
‘Javier informs you that there are no plans to provide the club with any investment at this stage.’ :(

And he also cut the link between us and Gremio.

12.3.11: ESPANYOL 0 : 0 Barcelona
20.3.11: Real Betis 3 : 2 ESPANYOL – M. Pavone (1), A. Emana (14), J. P. Caffa (45+2) : E. Culio (74), N. Pareja (84)

‘Espanyol have lost 3-2 to Real Betis to record their first defeat in the Liga BBVA for 22 games.’

Overall I'm not too bothered about the no wins in this month, although I have dropped down to fourth. I'd like to point out that our unbeaten run continued when I drew with Barcelona 0-0 at home, two of the highlights of the season so far.

Also I'll be welcoming at least two new signings at the end of the season, but I'll keep you waiting and surprise you when it comes ;)
